Vegetarian Food that Tastes Good

Salad Dressings

  • Tahini Miso Salad DressingV

    1 tbs tahini

    1 tbs miso (light or dark)

    1 tbs safflower oil

    1 tsp soy sauce

    1 clove garlic pressed pepper

    2 tsp vinegar

     

    Water to make correct consistency
    Put into blender and mix. This is an old hippy trademark.

  • Michele's Swiss Salad Dressing
    (great with a romaine salad)

    2 cloves garlic, put through a garlic press

    1 tsp brown mustard

    2 tbs mayonnaise

    juice of one lemon

    2 tsp vinegar

    salt and pepper to taste.

     

    Mix this in a wooden salad bowl, using a wisk. Toss greens in bowl distributing the dressing. This recipe is credited to Michele Minnis who learned to make this in Switzerland. A crowd pleaser.
